Published by Fleetway Editions from 1993 to 2001, Sonic the Comic was a British games magazine and comic book featuring Sega news, video game reviews, and original comic strips.

This archive is a community-driven initiative built to ensure that history is not lost. By cataloging and providing high-quality digital preservation files, we hope to keep the legacy of the comic accessible to readers and creators worldwide.

All copyrights, trademarks, and intellectual properties remain the exclusive property of Sega and Fleetway Editions (Egmont). We claim no ownership over any of this material. This is an unofficial preservation project; the rights holders have absolute authority over these works and possess every right to order the removal of this archive at any time.

To ensure long-term availability, all .cbz files are hosted securely on the Internet Archive. This website functions as a streamlined directory to help you easily navigate and link directly to those files. Please note that download speeds depend entirely on the Internet Archive's current server load.

Why we are rescanning

Currently, the rights holders have no plans for an official re-release. With used copies of the physical comics becoming exceedingly rare and expensive, the series is effectively geo-blocked, making it incredibly difficult to find for fans outside of the UK.

Sonic the Comic established an amazing, unique continuity and universe, and we believe that more Sonic fans worldwide should have the opportunity to experience and enjoy it today.

Honouring the original StC Archive

The fanbase owes a massive debt of gratitude to the original StC Archive, which kept the series alive and made the comic freely available to everyone worldwide. They did the absolute best that consumer-grade technology could accomplish at the time.

However, those scans were completed approximately 20 years ago. Because they were scanned at 96 DPI on standard A4 scanners, the edges of the pages were often clipped. Additionally, they are missing historical context like internal advertisements and reprinted stories. This project aims to build upon their incredible foundational legacy by preserving every single page in full, uncropped, high-resolution detail.
